Inspired by Taranaki, the majestic cone shaped maunga (mountain) in Aotearoa’s (New Zealand’s) North Island. The form of this maunga and its magma core inspired this slip stitch pattern.
Based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, Knit Shepherd is a textile studio where traditional knitting practices meet modern technology.
Inspired by the natural world of Aotearoa, each design is carefully designed using hand-knit stitches then these are translated into digital knitting machine code to seamlessly create beautifully detailed knitted accessories.
