Greeting Card - Georgette Thompson

Georgette Thompson is a realist wildlife painter based in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. Her work blends realism with a surreal twist, often centring on playful "bird word" puns—such as a South Island Robin depicted as Robin Hood—to explore the mischief our native birds get up to when humans aren't watching. Her meticulously painted, whimsical depictions of native birds are bursting with Kiwi pride with a good dash of humour!

Georgette offers a range of New Zealand-made fine art prints and greeting cards that have become very popular with both domestic and international tourists. Additionally, she is committed to giving back to nature; donating a portion of the proceeds from her greeting card sales to wildlife charities. To date, Georgette has donated $8,950 to wildlife hospitals across New Zealand and Australia.
